Species number (TNS): 225. Fore wing length: 16–20 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Presently known only from a singloe locality to the east of Mataranka where it occurs with E. etesia. Adults have been found in early February. Notable localities: East of Mataranka (Simon lab). Habitat: The only known population has been found in association with low shrubby wattles and grass on weathered sediments. Calling song and behaviour: Short repetitive lilting phrases of <1 second duration. Males typically sing from the branches of low shrubby wattles. Similar species: Northern Wattle Cicada, Thin- striped Wattle Cicada.
