Species number (TNS): 490. Fore wing length: 25–33 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Central New South Wales, from the Warrumbungles south to Capertee and near Bathurst. Also known from the Carnarvon Range in central Queeensland. Notable localities: Mudgee, Cassilis. Habitat: Found in eucalypt woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A ticking song produced whilst in flight and also when perched on a tree. Occasionally a long buzz is produced, followed by a series of ticks. Similar species: Varied Ambertail, North Coast Ambertail, Sydney Ticking Ambertail, Smoky-winged Ambertail.
