Eucalypt forest on sandstone
plateaus.
Calling song and behaviour:
A deep, metallic “dit-derrrrrrr, dit-
derrrrr”, repeated. Adults sit in the
foliage and on branches of
eucalypts.
Similar species:
Red Squeaker, Bronze Bark-
buzzer.
