Species number (TNS): 724. Fore wing length: 25–31 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Known only from South Australia in the Greater Adelaide region and north to Wilmington Notable localities: Mt Lofty, Hale Conservartion Area. Habitat: Tall eucalypt forest and woodland. Calling song and behaviour: High-pitched, rapid, ticking followed by short chirps and repeated. Adults sit high on the main trunks and upper branches of eucalypts. Similar species: Golden-haired Firetail, Wavering Firetail, Serrated Firetail.
