Other name(s): Two-toned Bunyip. Species number (TNS): 111, 118, 129. Fore wing length: 22–34 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From Cape Flattery near Cooktown south to near Townsville. Mainly coastal, though also extending inland to Atherton Tableland, near Mount Carbine and near Mount Garnet. Adults are present from November to April. Notable localities: Cairns, Mission Beach. Habitat: Tropical bushland, often in swampy areas, coastal areas or along watercourses. Calling song and behaviour: A long buzz, which is near identical to the call of Brown Bunyip. Similar species: Dodd’s Bunyip, Eastern Bunyip (species complex), Boulder Bunyip.
