Species number (TNS): 266. Fore wing length: 12–14 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Southern inland Queensland, from Roma south to St George. Adults are present from October to January. Notable localities: Surat. Habitat: Populations occur in arid shrublands, often on floodplains in association with Weeping Myall (Acacia pendula). Calling song and behaviour: A distinctive clicking call that includes sections of wing- snapping. Singing occurs in bright sunshine. Adults sit on the stems of small trees and shrubs. Similar species: Black Scrub-buzzer.
