Species number (TNS): 783. Fore wing length: 29–31 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Known only from Glen Elgin and the western slopes of Gibraltar Range in northern New South Wales. Adults occur during January. Notable localities: Glen Elgin. Habitat: Open eucalypt forest. Calling song and behaviour: Soft ticking and ratcheting followed by a series of sharp “zzip” sounds. Adults typically sit on the upper branches of tall eucalypts, including stringybarks. Similar species: Sweeping Firetail.
