From the MacDonnell Ranges
west of Alice Springs to the
eastern edge of the Simpson
Desert in western Queensland.
Also known from east of
Sandstone and south of Leinster
in central Western Australia.
Adults occur during January and
February.
Notable localities:
Hermannsburg, Alice Springs.
Habitat:
Spinifex grassland.
Calling song and behaviour:
A simple, clean, buzzing call, with
a pulsing quality. Adults sit on
the blades of spinifex grasses.

None; a distinctive species.
