Previously known as Burbunga venosa. Species number (TNS): 030. Fore wing length: 22–28 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From the MacDonnell Ranges west of Alice Springs to the eastern edge of the Simpson Desert in western Queensland. Adults occur during January and February. Notable localities: Hermannsburg, Alice Springs. Habitat: Spinifex grassland. Calling song and behaviour: A simple, clean, buzzing call, with a pulsing quality. Adults sit on the blades of spinifex grasses. Similar species: None; a distinctive species.
