Species number (TNS): 585. Fore wing length: 28–37 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Restricted to the Wet Tropics region of North-eastern Queensland from near Cooktown south to near Cardwell. Adults occur from October to February. Notable localities: Mt Lewis, Kuranda, Mt Hypipamee, Ravenshoe. Habitat: Tropical rainforest. Calling song and behaviour: A loud, coarse whistle, produced most prominently at dusk. Adults sit high on the upper stems of rainforest trees. Similar species: Slender Green Growler.
