At the transition between
subtropical and warm temperate
rainforest.
Calling song and behaviour:
A powerful, metallic buzz. Males
call at intervals during the day
and for an extended period at
dusk. Adults sit on the main
trunks and upper branches of
rainforest trees.
Similar species:
Eastern Bunyip (species
complex).
