From near Billiluna in Western
Australia east to the Barkly
Tableland in the Northern
Territory. Adults may be present
for a short period between
September and January.
Notable localities:
Tennant Creek.
Habitat:
Low open woodland.
Calling song and behaviour:
A fairly short note followed
immediately by a brief chirp,
emitted irregularly every few
seconds. Males sing
sporadically throughout the day
during sunny conditions. Adults
sit on the branches and stems
of small eucalypts.
