Species number (TNS): 020. Fore wing length: 36–43 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Cape York Peninsula in far northern Queensland where it is restricted to Iron Range and the Mcllwraith Range. Adults occur from November to January. Notable localities: Iron Range. Habitat: Dense rainforest and adjacent open forest. Calling song and behaviour: A strong hiss, which rises in amplitude and then abruptly falls away in a series of fairly slow pulses. Populations occur in loose aggregations. Adults occur at varying heights on the main trunks and upper branches of trees. Similar species: McIvor River Grinder.
