Species number (TNS): 373. Fore wing length: 11–14 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From Heathlands on Cape York Peninsula south-west to Karumba and Croydon in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Adults occur during December and January. Notable localities: Karumba, Heathlands. Habitat: Grassland, particularly on floodplains. Calling song and behaviour: Shorting buzz phrases punctuated by a series of clicks. Adults sit on the stems of grass. Similar species: Northern Grass-clicker.
