Previously known as Burbunga hillieri. Species number (TNS): 034. Fore wing length: 23–27 mm. Distribution and seasonality: The Strezlecki Desert region of north-eastern South Australia. Adults occur during January. Notable localities: Birdsville Track, north of Mungerannie. Habitat: Populations occur in association with cane grass growing on sand dunes. Calling song and behaviour: A persistent buzzing call. Similar species: None; a distinctive species.
