Adults occur from December to
April.

Fitzroy Crossing.
Habitat:
Low open woodland and open
shrubland with scattered trees.
Calling song and behaviour:
A metallic whine. Adults sit on
the branches and stems of
trees, including eucalypts.
Similar species:
None, a distinctive cicada.
