Species number (TNS): 227. Fore wing length: 19–25 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Restricted to Iron Range and McIllwraith Range on Cape York Peninsula in far north Queensland. Adults have been found during January. Notable localities: Cook’s Hut (Simon lab). Habitat: Populations occur in dry rainforests and vine thicket. Calling song and behaviour: Fairly high-pitched with repeated subphrases of 5–10 s duration (during the day) or monotonously repeated notes (mainly at dusk). Similar species: Cooktown Wattle Cicada.
