Species number (TNS): 539. Fore wing length: 20–27 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Coastal and inland areas of the Queensland tropics from Cape York south to Gladstone. Adults occur from October to March. Notable localities: Mareeba, Cairns, Charters Towers. Habitat: Tropical bushland and woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A pronounced, wavering hiss with short chirps produced between bouts of continuous hissing. Adults sit on the stems of trees (particularly on tea- trees) and shrubs. Similar species: Black Bullet, Golden Brown Bullet.
