Previously referred to as Cicadetta apicata. Species number (TNS): 166. Fore wing length: 22–30 mm. Distribution and seasonality: The southern quarter of the Northern Territory, south from the eastern section of the Tanami Track and central west Western Australia between Mount Magnet and Tom Price. Adults occur from December to February. Habitat: Acacia scrubland. Calling song and behaviour: A distinctive clicking and buzzing call. Adults sit on the main trunks, upper branches and stems of acacias, as well as other trees and large shrubs. Similar species: Callitris Clicker.
