Species number (TNS): 101. Fore wing length: 38–46 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From south of Cooktown to the southern end of Paluma Range in Tropical northern Queensland. Adults occur from October to May. Notable localities: Mt Lewis, Kuranda, The Crater, Herberton Range, Henrietta Creek. Habitat: Primary rainforest and rainforest margins. Calling song and behaviour: A harsh rattle of short or long duration followed by a fairly abrupt shriek. Adults almost always occur high up and are difficult to observe. Similar species: Dark Sage, Phantom Knight.
