Species number (TNS): 406. Fore wing length: 15–17 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Inland eastern Australia from near Jericho in central Queensland east to Leyburn in south-east Queensland and south to Mount Hope in central New South Wales. Adults have been observed from December to February. Notable localities: Near Jericho (Simon lab), Mitchell, Lake Broadwater, Inglewood. Habitat: This is a fairly static cicada that prefers woodlands dominated by White Cypress (Callitris glaucophylla). Calling song and behaviour: A distinctive, rattle-like series of single notes. There may be a few seconds gap between each rattle. Singing is most obvious in the late afternoon and on overcast days. Similar species: Bulloak Squeaker, Clermont Squeaker.
