Previously referred to as Notopsalta sp. F. Species number (TNS): 211. Fore wing length: 21–24 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From near Roma east to near Gayndah and south to near Warwick in inland Queensland. Adults occur from September until December. Notable localities: Gurulmundi, Binjour Plateau, Yelarbon State Forest. Habitat: Open forest with a middle storey of acacias. Calling song and behaviour: A series of "zits" interrupted at intervals with a soft rattle. A simpler version of the song is also produced at dusk. Adults sit on the inner stems of acacias. Similar species: Wattle Cicada (species complex).
