Species number (TNS): 738. Fore wing length: 30–40 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Central south-west Western Australia, north of the wheat belt, from Murchison River east to near Balladonia. Adults have been observed from November to March. Habitat: Dry open mallee woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A persistent rattle, made in flight. Males call in short bursts during the day, with more sustained calling at dusk. Similar species: None, a distinctive cicada.
