Species number (TNS): 210. Fore wing length: 17–23 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Widespread, from the Simpson Desert in far western Queensland through the southern quarter of the Northern Territory south to central South Australia and west to the Hammersley Ranges in Western Australia. Adults are present during January and February. Notable localities: Cue. Habitat: Open scrubland and low shrubland, often in association with Eremophila and Senna shrubs. Calling song and behaviour: A wavering buzz builds into a crescendo and is followed by a series of rapid chirps before tapering abruptly. Adults sit on stems of shrubs. Similar species: Western Eremophila Cicada, Southern Eremophila Cicada.
