The call typically begins with
cadence of repeated phrases and
then progresses into a simple
chirping song. Adults can be
found on many forms of
vegetation, on the main trunks,
branches and stems of small
trees and shrubs.
Colour variation:
Specimens fade from green to
yellow after death.
Similar species:
A distinctive cicada, unlikely to be
confused with any other within
Australian territories.
