Previously referred to as Abricta castanea. Species number (TNS): 531. Fore wing length: 17–22 mm. Distribution and seasonality: The Kimberley region of Western Australia east through the adjacent northern half of the Northern Territory to Burketown in Queensland. Adults occur from October to April. Notable localities: Kununurra, Victoria River, Adelaide River, Tennant Creek, Borroloola. Habitat: Open woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A wavering hiss. Adults sit on the stems of trees and shrubs. Similar species: Small Maroon Bullet, Large Rusty Bullet (species complex).
