Species number (TNS): 782. Fore wing length: 19–22 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Known only from Adelaide and the adjacent Mt Lofty Ranges north to Spring Gully in South Australia. Adults are present in November or December. Notable localities: Spring Gully (A. Stolarski), Hazelwood Park. Habitat: Eucalypt woodland and parkland. Adults appear to be associated with Eucalyptus leucoxylon. Calling song and behaviour: Repeated, short phrases, each with a series of six rapid chrips. Adults sit on the main trunks and upper branches of eucalypts. Rarely observed, though known to occur in large numbers. Similar species: Red-eyed Firetail.
