Other common name: Sprinkler Cicada Species number (TNS): 224. Fore wing length: 18–31 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Coastal and subcoastal areas of Western Australia from around Perth south to Yeagarup and east to Porongorup. Adults are present from November to March. Notable localities: Kelmscott (D. Emery), Porongorup (Simon lab). Habitat: Open forest and woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A strident ticking call. Adults sit on stems, branches and trunks of trees, including eucalypts. Similar species: Perth Bandit, Red Bandit.
