Species number (TNS): 076. Fore wing length: 46–52 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Known only from the Shoalwater Bay Military Training Area south to near Yeppoon in central Queensland. Adults have been observed from December to February. Notable localities: Farnborough. Habitat: Coastal scrub and bushland. Found in association with Acacia aulacocarpa and Melaleuca dealbata. Calling song and behaviour: A loud series of pulsing phrases, which build up into a strong whine. Singing occurs at intervals during the day. Adults sit on the main trunks and upper branches of trees. Similar species: Darwin Whiner.
