Species number (TNS): 110. Fore wing length: 37–40 mm. Distribution and seasonality: At high altitudes from Mt Tamborine in Queensland south to Dorrigo in New South Wales. Adults occur from November to March. Notable localities: Upper Beechmont, Springbrook National Park, Washpool National Park. Habitat: At the transition between subtropical and warm temperate rainforest. Calling song and behaviour: A powerful, metallic buzz. Males call at intervals during the day and for an extended period at dusk. Adults sit on the main trunks and upper branches of rainforest trees. Similar species: Eastern Bunyip (species complex).
