Species number (TNS): 212. Fore wing length: 19–23 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Western Australia from near Northam northeast to near Coolgardie and southwest to near Salmon Gums. Adults occur from October to January. Notable localities: Peak Charles National Park. Habitat: Mallee woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A vigorous buzzing call, or a series of short chirps in-between bouts of buzzing. Adults sit on the stems of mallee eucalypts and large shrubs. Similar species: A distinctive cicada; check genus Ewartia.
