Previously referred to as Cicadetta melete. Species number (TNS): 223. Fore wing length: 20–27 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Coastal areas of Western Australia from Dongara south to near Northcliffe and east to the Albany region. Adults are present from November to March. Notable localities: Bunbury (M. S. Moulds). Habitat: Open forest and woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A strident ticking call. Adults sit on stems and branches of trees, including eucalypts. Similar species: Little Orange Bandit.
