Species number (TNS): 037. Fore wing length: 23–29 mm. Distribution and seasonality: The western half of the Top End of the Northern Territory south to Daly Waters and west through the Victoria River district to near Argyle in northeast Western Australia. Adults occur from September to February. Notable localities: Darwin, Litchfield National Park, Mary River, Pine Creek. Habitat: Tropical woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A simple buzzing call. Adults sit on the main trunks, upper branches and stems of small trees. Similar species: None; a distinctive cicada.
