Species number (TNS): 067. Fore wing length: 42–45 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From Derby north-east to beyond the Lennard River and south to near Pinnacle Creek. Adults occur from December to April. Notable localities: Fitzroy Crossing. Habitat: Low open woodland and open shrubland with scattered trees. Calling song and behaviour: A metallic whine. Adults sit on the branches and stems of trees, including eucalypts. Similar species: None, a distinctive cicada.
