Species number (TNS): 027. Fore wing length: 23–28 mm. Distribution and seasonality: From the vicinity of Perth in Western Australia, north to near Wiluna and with isolated populations near Tarcoola in South Australia and around Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the Northern Territory. Adults occur from December to March. Notable localities: Perth, Yellowdine, Uluru (Simon lab), Leinster. Habitat: Populations occur in mallee woodland. Calling song and behaviour: A monotonous buzz. Adults sit on the trunks and main branches of mallee eucalypts where they remain fairly sedentary. Similar species: Small Western Bark Cicada, Queensland Bark Cicada, Small Northern Bark Cicada.
