Species number (TNS):        006. Fore wing length:               43–51 mm. Distribution and seasonality:  From Carnarvon south to Dirk Hartog Island in Western Australia and also central Australia from the South Australian border through Alice Springs and north to Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.  Adults occur from October to February. Notable localities:              Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Carnarvon. Habitat:                                   Populations occur in association with eucalypts, particularly along watercourses. Calling song and behaviour:    A shrill, electric whine, similar to other species in the genus.  Adults sit on the main trunk and main branches of eucalypts. Similar species:               Desert Double Drummer.
