Species number (TNS): 196. Fore wing length: 24–30 mm. Distribution and seasonality: Inland areas of Queensland from near Capella south to Southwood National Park and south-east to near Boonah. Adults occur from November to February. Notable localities: Ceratodus, Glamorgan Vale. Habitat: Acacia scrubland; appears to have an almost exclusive association with Brigalow (Acacia harpophylla). Calling song and behaviour: Rapid ticking which culminates into a series of three short buzzes before being repeated. Adults sit on the upper branches of Brigalow and other small trees. Similar species: Kettledrum Cicada.
